Mem

An ocean planet colonized without consent. The Memish are still here. Their ruins are still older than the Hegemony's presence by several thousand years.

Mem is almost entirely water. The Hegemony colonized it a century ago before realizing the aquatic Memish had established planetary claims millennia earlier. Hegemonic forces broke Memish military resistance. The planet is now a contested colonial space with a paranoid Governor, an ambitious labor boss, and deep-ocean ruins nobody has fully mapped.

The rule: +1d on social rolls if you have Memish contacts. The gravity wells deep beneath the ocean make navigation and scanning unreliable below 400 meters.

Scene: The artificial island chain of Spaceport Keyan on permanent grey seas. Bioluminescent Memish workers moving through the docks with the practiced efficiency of people who know who's really watching. Governor Kromyl's palace gleaming white against storm clouds.

Campaign relevance: The Cult has a small research station near the Hantu gate — their operational headquarters in Holt. The Hantu gate itself is the endpoint of the entire campaign. Mem is also where the AI from The Silent Cargo was supposed to be delivered.
