Ohe's analyst. Technically brilliant. Ethically flexible. Absolutely not a field operative.
A Guild of Engineers examiner in his mid-30s, so thoroughly augmented that it takes a moment to notice the biological components. His right arm ends in a precision multi-tool array. He speaks in complete paragraphs and considers brevity a form of intellectual dishonesty.
Dross has cross-referenced six years of Guild artifact movement records and produced the clearest map of the lattice in existence. He knows the locations of three of the five artifacts with certainty, and has strong hypotheses on the remaining two. He is the reason Commander Ohe is as capable as she is. He is also quietly preparing a personal copy of all his research, because the Guild of Engineers would very much like to know what he knows, and Dross is keeping his options open.
In Act 3, Dross may decide that his best move is to sell his research to the Guild of Engineers directly, bypassing Ohe entirely. The Guild would have uses for a reactivated Ur lattice that are entirely different from the Hegemony's political goals. This is a background threat that can become active if the GM wants a fourth-act twist.
