Description

Very old. Moves carefully. Lives on a ship that hasn't filed a flight plan in decades, currently anchored in the debris field around Baftoma. The ship is called the Meridian and looks derelict from the outside. Inside it is a working archive of the most dangerous information in Procyon.

What They Know

The Archivist is the fourth-generation keeper of the original survey team's findings. They have the full record: what the lattice is, what the signal does, what is on the other side of the Hantu gate. They have been waiting for the right crew — not heroes, just people who would make the right choice if given the full picture.

The Meeting

In Act 3, the Archivist meets the crew aboard the Meridian. They tell them everything. Not because they trust the crew completely, but because there is no time left for patience. This is the scene where the crew gets the full picture of the campaign's stakes — delivered by someone who has carried it for decades and is visibly relieved to share the weight.

Roleplaying Notes

The Archivist never asks anything of the crew directly. They only provide information. The choice is always the crew's.
They are not a fighter. If the Meridian is found, they will not survive.
They speak about the original survey team members by first name, as if remembering people they knew. They did not know them. They just read their diaries forty thousand times.
Their single request: whatever the crew decides, make sure the record survives.
